Title: The Wind Doesn't Whisper My Name {Open}
Post by: Kyra Blake on December 03, 2008, 12:45:28 pm
Kyra sighed as she laid herself out on the green grass below her body. A breeze swept past her face, one she guessed would have been cold. If she were still human. She frowned. Though, her memory was hard to pick through. Because human memories were dim. She couldn't help but remember. The feel mof wind, the feel of snow. Everything cold. No more. When she was human, she'd loved to play in the rain and loved snowball fights. No more. It would no longer be cold, no longer feel like it should feel like. Nothing was the same. Not even the simple way she looked. She missed herself. As a human. Sure, she hadn't been nearly as strong. But still...

She jumped up, only under a second later standing on her feet and looking up at the sky. She crossed her arms and shook her head. Black hair following. She sighed. Nothing was the same. Ever! She hissed for no particular reason. At nothing. She wanted to lift up her head and scream at the world. Really scream. Or cry. But she couldn't even cry. It would seem that after an entire year of being a vampire, she wouldn't be so...whiney about it all. But she was. She'd lost her twin brother to human blood. Well, he wanted human blood. And she wouldn't allow. She'd lost the person who taught them how to feed on something besides human. She was alone. And she hated to be alone. Let alone having to live alone forever. And ever. She wasn't ready for that. She was never going to be ready for that.

Another breeze of wind swept past her. Out of habit, she grabbed her shirt and brought it closer around herself. She shook her head and hissed again. No coat. She didn't feel the cold. She frowned. She walked back into the woods, out of the meadow's clearing, and went to where the trees were. She listened to the sounds around her. The animals. The birds singing. She could even hear a car, not nearby, probably on the road. Sometimes she hated it. Hearing so much more than she would have. Sometimes she just wanted some sort of peace and quiet. Out of her unusual vampire senses. She chewed on her bottom lip, her stone like bottom lip. She made her way to a tree, a nice sturdy tree and set her back against the bark of the wonderful tree. Then slowly, she allowed herself to slide down the tree and sit. She brought her knees to her chest and hugged them close to her, her head down. Though she was paying attention. Her senses were wide awake, afterall.

((Sorry, it's not the best post ever, xD))
